You win some, you lose some.

Have you ever been faced with a difficult decision that would change your life, no matter which path you chose? Life sometimes throws us choices that we don't want to have to make, but we  have no power to change reality. So just the same, when decisions move to a point of being out of our control, all we have the power to do is try to make the best of the situation we are presented with.

Just over a year ago I was presented with one of those life changing decisions but it shook my world so distinctly, that my mind was paralyzed with fear before I could even make sense of the choices laid out in front of me. Most of you will know by now that fear used to be a massive part of my life so that's nothing new, but it so often had the power to stop me in my tracks and send me into a whirlwind of emotion and denial and that's exactly what it had done this time. A choice was made for me and it was probably the better path to travel down, but now that my life has changed so much, my mind can't help but wonder. I cannot help but think of how different everything could be if I had made the decision myself. I cannot help but wonder, if I'd made the same decision, would it have been right? I honestly really don't think it would've, and that's such a bittersweet feeling. But I guess I am incredibly lucky for it to have worked out okay. It really just goes to show, some things aren't meant to be.

As a wise man once said to me, "It always works out okay."

Dr. Pepper’s nothin’ but a cliché.

There are many times in my life where I find myself hesitating over whether or not to do something, as I’m sure there are for you, too. Something I discovered would help myself through this, is to think of Dr. Pepper. Yes, I really am telling you to think about a fizzy drink when you find yourself indecisive. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant, don’t worry, you don’t have to drink it. But when you think of that drink, what else comes to mind? For me, it’s the slogan.

‘Dr. Pepper, what’s the worst that could happen?’

So many people never consider pros and cons in their decisions and that works sometimes, but what happens when you make the wrong choice? Sometimes asking yourself ‘what’s the worst that could happen?’ can really help you in deciding the probability that you’ll regret your choice.

Forget regret or life is yours to miss.

No other road, no other way, no day but today.

You are loved.

When somebody tells you that you look good, what do you say?

When somebody tells you that you’ve done something well, how do you feel?

Recently I have received so many amazing compliments, and they have never meant more to me than they do now. The people in my life, have never meant more to me than they do now.

As you probably know by my last few posts I have changed a lot over the past few months, but change never ends. I don’t mean that I am not happy with the person I am right now, I am ecstatic. What I mean, is that there is always room for improvement. If I were to sit back and say my job is done, and I will be this person forever more, I would be a fool. Life is always moving on and there will always be things for me to learn, so I’m gonna indulge in that.

Life really is about what we make for ourselves, and even though that’s not always easy, we always get by. We have no other choice. What we do have the choice of, is the way we treat the people in our lives, and the amount of respect we show them. When we are loved, we often don’t realise the extent of that love. There have been many times in my life where I’ve been treated the wrong way and also where I have treated people wrongly, and that’s more than likely the case for all of us at some point in our lives. It’s such a cliché, but we really do need to treat people the way we want to be treated in life.

Make the most of the people you love.
